Dv2010 cp only...

Does anyone know if we choose CP, do we only have to pay 375$ for each person or are there any other additional fees? ( i don't know if we are still going to fill i-485 form and pay for it there)

More than that. There is a consular fee and a medical examination fee.
In my case $755 ($355 for I-130, $400 for final processing fee) and $290 for medical, including x-rays. Total will be $1045.

Not sure for AOS, perhaps look at that thread for more information on that, but for CP it depends where you do it. For me it will be $1045 total per person yes.

CP is $775 total
AOS is more expensive with $1040

Medical depends on your country, prices are differnt. In Germany the medical is 175 Euro at the moment.

All fees are per person, medical for children is a litter cheaper.

I just want be sure before sending the documents to KCC.. If we are choosing CP, we won't pany any fee till we go to the consulate..Is this correct?

No "fees" until you go to the consulate. Your first significant expense will be your medical.

Hi Marcnz..

Congratulations:) I wanna ask you what kind of package did you receive from the consulate before your interview?

I wanna ask you things about medical report.I live in US .

1) For consular processing can I do the medical report here in US before going to the consulate in my country? Or is it madatory to do there in my country?

2 ) If we can do it in US can we get it from anywhere? Or should it be from a specific instution?

3 ) What about the immunization recors? As I don't have ant records, does this make any prblem? Do they ask for the immunization recors at the consulate?

Congrats you are almost done with your process!:)

Thanks bentlebee. It's been a long road, but I got there in the end :D

Hi Marcnz..

Congratulations:) I wanna ask you what kind of package did you receive from the consulate before your interview?

I had my interview in Auckland, New Zealand so the contents of the package were specific to this consulate and it will be different depending where you are, but for me it included:

- An appointment letter with the date and time of my interview on it that I had to show to the guard at the door to get into the consulate.

- The medical forms and the list of approved doctors that I could go to for my medical.

- A New Zealand police clearance form that I had to sign and return to the consulate straight away that gave the New Zealand police permission to release my information to the US consulate.

- A form asking me to provide an address in the US that my green card would eventually be sent to. This had to be returned to the consulate before my interview too.

- Instructions to send in the two new passport photos before the interview.

It worked out quite well. The way they do it means that they will already have the medical results, police clearance and passport photos before the day of the interview so I didn't have to bring as much with me as people have to at some consulates.

Thank you Marcnz for your reply..How much did you pay to the consulate after the medical exam ?

Your welcome.

I paid $775, which should be the same at every consulate. The breakdown of the fee is:
$355 - immigrant visa application fee
$375 - diversity visa lottery surcharge
$45 - immigrant visa security surcharge

Regarding your previous question about the medical. It doesn't look like you can do your medical in the US if you're are doing consular processing. It is a frequently asked question on the state department website.

About the immunisation records. It's the doctor that does your medical that will need to confirm your immunities, not the consulate. I didn't have any records either so the doctor gave me an antibodies blood test to confirm my immunity. The specific immunisations they will want to check depend on your age group. There are more immunisations required for children and the elderly for example.
