Let us predict as well as share some valuable information.

Saras mentioned that USCIS would be releasing some numbers early this year about how they used visas in the last fisical year.

I hope EB-3 India will move beyond May 8th.

:)

Please not again..... I am sick of this prediction which yields nothing....
We are predicting something which uscis itself is predicting. :D :D

I usually love predictions... but... I'm worn out a bit by now.

I have no predictions, just hope that it India EB3 will remain beyond May 1st, 2001.

Amen.

love predictions too....

EB3 worldwide will move to nov 2005
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

P.S. prediction or no prediction, we can still dream....

Ideally EB3 India should cross 2001 after it crossed April 2001 (245i deadline) last month. I don't think there were that many cases from May 2001 to Dec 2001. But they will still move slow following mexico probably to 15 May '01. If you look at Mexico, it is still moving 1 week per month even after crossing April 30 '01, I don't know why? I think India is going to follow Mexico, so we need to watch dates for EB3 Mexico .

Visa Date will move to July 2001

this is my prediction

Gentlemen,

I think the visa date will move to July 2001. Well i have a friend who works with me, His priority date was June 22 2001, And his attorney got a rfe for his 485 approval. My friend was pleasently surprised and once USCIS recived his reply his case was approved yesterday. He got his email regarding the appproval at 5:15 pm est (By the way he was India EB3). So i think the visa date will move to July 2001 or beyond. And i hope and pray it crosses Sep 2002 soon!!!!.

Hope you are not kidding. If not then man you are a shining star in dark cloudy night. But how come they approve when PD is not current for him? Do you know what was the query?

It must be approval with stamping awaiting PD becoming current.

It didn't. Read my post again.
Ok sorry,
But can they do approval without visa numbers. If yes then they would approve everyone else. Or are you trying to say that they are about to move EB3 India beyond June 2001 and that's why they are approving.....

Hey, it's alright. What I've read about in past is that they sometime approve the application before the PD becoming current. It doesn't mean that the person has received GC. They cannot get the passport stamped or get the physical card till the PD becomes current. It merely means that the application process has run through 99.9% of its course.

It's completely different matter whether it's harbinger of movement in PD... it's any body's guess. I'd say it is because it means that they don't have current applications to approve... so they as well might move PD forward.

The visa numbers cutoff date!

Gramchai,
After posting this news about my friend's approval. I spoke to him again and His attorney. Who has informed him that Cutoff date is established based on number of cases ready to be approved around that date. And as the diffrence between May8th and June 22 is about 6 weeks they have moved ahead to approve his case as all his checks like name, background and finger prints were ready. I think his case was just waiting for a visa number which luckly was the case for him. In past also there were few folk on this forum who got approved with dates in and around 1 week time frame from the cutoff date. So i hope Once again they move it to July 2001 and soon engouh to Sep 2002. ;)

Surprising ..

Guys and Gals,

A belated Happy New Year to everyone. Ghost_card, your friends case is peculiar indeed. I have heard of cases that were transferred to local offices being pre-approved (post interview) without a current PD but your friend is one of the rare people who have had their case approved in a Service Center without PDs being current. Its hard to say exactly what is going on with his case. I do not think the USCIS will send an approval email without PDs being current unless they have taken some new approach. I have heard that USCIS is pre-approving cases but they are not sending any emails or mail notifications of pre-approval. Either way, good for your friend.

As for whats in store for EB3 India this year, there is no telling. I am hoping that the dates move well into 2001 by the end of FY 06 (ends in OCT 07).

Good luck to everyone.

cheers,

saras

Saras,

How do we know that USCIS pre-approving 485 cases without sending any eamil or notifications?

I appreciate your balanced and well reasoned point of view. I think it is reasonable to expect EB3 India to move ahead in the coming months based on the case in discussion.

Any Prediction for EB2 India ???
