did u get ur second FP or when does ur 1st one expires. They must be doing something for april/may case may be moving out of there boxes.
 
My portfolio update shows 04/07/04. I do not know whether it is really a touch date for my case or just a random updating the dates in the system. I do not see any change yet.
 
no second FP yet

I did my first FP on June 2002, right after the RD/ND. I have been asking my lawyer to send a FAX for second set of FP. They are saying that if INS feels it needs, they will send a second FP request, and some times they approve without a second FP.

My lawyer told me that same thing. In fact he told that any FP means farther delay in whole bureaucratic process - scehduling FP date (most of the times it is atleast 1.5 months down the line), generating FP notice, getting result from FBI and checking it. Accroding to him, getting approval without 2nd FP is always more desirable than having 2nd FP. So don't be too worried if you did not have 2nd FP yet.

All of us: wac-02-126: last touch on 05/20/2004, no change in message. (Still says: FP received on May 22, 2002 (first FP)).
 
just copied my response from another thread:

Touch dates for me and my wife changed today to 05/26/2004.

Our I-485 petition #s are WAC02-18******** (May 2002).

As I posted earlier, tha Chancellor of my university got a response from the office of the Associate Director of Operations of the USCIS (dated April 27, 2004) which stated that, as a courtesy, they contacted the USIC office with the juristidction over our cases and got the information that
" Receipt Numbers WAC-02-18******* cases have been pulled for review. As of this date
(April 27) a final decision has not been rendered and cases remain actively pending in the workflow process"- whatever that means in their bureacratic language.

my touch date is: May 26, 2004 (around 9 am; when i checked)
my previous touch date was: May 5, 2004
wac-02-169-5***** (ND, April 24, 2002) (EB1)
FP2: June, 2003
FP1: December, 2002

Previous touch date (May 5, 2004) did not bring any news (like denied, approved or RFE). Does it have any meaning?

Anyway I am posting it here for anybody to guess.

it seems when ur case are touched regularly two to three continues day , it seems some one is actively looking in to it. happened with me for EAD and happened with some for 485 approvals. 20/30 days apart might be they r shifting the shelfs ....we can gues only cause they them self do't know how they work.
 
Recd. 2nd FP notice

Recd. 2nd FP notice, just for myself ( not for spouse ). Touch date is still the same. No email notification. FP scheduled for 6/30.

Touch date got updated to 05/26/2004 for both my wife and me!
Earlier touch date was 05/04/2004

I-485 touch date changed to 05/27

3rd EAD renewal changed to 05/27. I presume this trigerred the 485 touch date to change too since i called the customer service to check on my EAD renewal status yesterday as i mentioned in my earlier post.

Wife's 1-485 still remains the same.
