FBI Namecheck Information: How to verify

I know lots of people(gino, lazergreat) may be waiting for a security check to be finished before they get their GC. Well I went to the U.S Postal Inspection service who process our Namecheck and their procedures.

The FBI is in charge of Namecheck and not any 3rd party. 3rd party may be in charge of gathering the information but in the end its in the hand of the FBI.

I then searched these boards and found this useful information for people still waiting months after BIO. I would suggest Lazerthegreat & GINO to contact FBI if the namecheck was finished on them...If its pending, you will know that its in FBI's hand...Usually FBI does namecheck in maxium of 120 days.

No problem Lazer. I know sooner than later, I will be in the same boat as you..so rather be ready for it and learn from your experience...
 
yeah...actually, no, don't bother

I just called the name check status number and a very kind lady told me that the name check line doesn't exist any more, that we need to send an e-mail to the FBI, and that it will take several months before they respond - such is the backlog.

So...sit and wait, I guess. WHat else is new. I wish I could go on a vacation right this minute, I can't focus on work, or on anything.

To boost your moral, go to your wife or girl friend or whatever. Over here, we are contributing to provide useful, concrete & real world information that some attorneys might not have. My purpose for coming to this site is to gain useful information or provide useful information.

Doesn't it make a little more sense? :)

uh uh..!! Is that all you could come up with? Bringing wives and girl friends in the discussion!! Why am I not surprised that you could stoop so low!! What concrete bakwaas you are talking about????????? You havent given anything to this forum except for whining about your case! I am not aware if you have provided anything useful till now...!! So there!!

WM has been one of the most useful members. I can tell you that I learnt more from him than from my atorney or uSCis.

Looks like you guys dont like to read the truth...You dont like to see anyone stand up against you..is it so? you're just 2 "You scratch my back I'll scratch yours"..you just think you are the kings of nowhere...even if it is just this forum...for gods sake give us some break...! spread some joy...Havent we enough of troubles already!!

WM tells you is just plain frustration...I am surprised you fall for it..!! He doesnt have any concrete or valid info...So you better watch your mouth ...I am being patient..!

Actually QsI have been one of you. I have been waiting for 7 long years..the forum helped me a lot too..but I never lost hope. Unlike Lazer. I always encouraged the members. telling them that its not right for a 2001 to get GC before a 2000?? What nonsense is that? if you read my post, thats what I hv written. no one can help it. USCIS has it's own mysterious ways. You cant blame or make someone feel bad just because they got the signal before another???? Thats what my objection is, and will be! A person can only help if he is willing to forget his problems and join in to encourage others, not to discourage them! I hope my point is clear to you why I said what I did.

Free, Hope is not reality. You need to face the reality like other members. We all can hold hands around you and sing-a-song here that you will get your GC tommorow but You will not. I don't think anyone in this forum wants to discourage anyone. We all learn things in this forum.

For Instance, Punjabimunda got his RFI(ND 04/01) and I didn't.. so I started to panic. I waited an entire week but then I went after USCIS and called them and stuff..I got my BIO finally. Or if a forum member got his BIO done earlier..others did the same...This forum is meant for this kind of "support". Real support which can help you in your case.

And if you get your approval before me.. Good for you. No one is blaming you but the USCIS for their inconsistencies..

See WM, thats my whole point. You didnt have to panic. When you talk of reality, dont you think panic is just the opposite reaction to it? Reality is that we cant do anything. GC will come when it will come! Not before and not later. We just have to practice patience.

I think Panic is good. Lets say you are on a vacation to Europe for a month and are checking your online status..but BIO was sent to you without an update in Online status...and if you don't know they sent you..you miss your appointment...Your application is Abandoned....

GC will come when it will come is good but you also need to stay on top of things because you are responsible for your application not the USCIS. IF they miss something, its your responsiblity to let them know not the other way around..

A 2001 applicant getting approved before 2000 applicant also makes YOUR responsiblity to FIND OUT WHY. Were the medicals not signed? did i fill the bio correctly? Did they get my BIographics?...1 million things go in..

If you searched the board, the reality is that YOU CAN DO THINGS. IF you sit on your butt thinking that oh-what-the-hell-i-will-get-my-gc-soon then you will miss the boat...IF you "LET" USCIS mistreat you, they will!
