I can move anywhere in the country.

Which is the best place in the US to start citizenship processing so as to get USC in the shortest time possible and has the fastest processing time

Please help

Ohio District Offices have faster processing times based on several posts on this forum. However, like the fine print on infomercials, results may vary ;)

What's the rush? Are factors such as cost of living, relocation costs, weather, job opportunities, state taxes, etc. so unimportant to you that you're going to ignore them just to get citizenship a few months sooner? And don't forget that once you move to a new state or district, you have an extra 3-month wait already.

From what i have seen on these forums stay where you are and either join the military or marry someone who is aready in the military. LOL

Definitely avoid San Jose office at all costs.

Hartford is slower than the offices that are within processing goals, according to the processing times (around 5 or more months slower).

Don't forget to add 90 days (to become a resident of the new district) to all the processing times if you plan on moving prior to submitting your N-400. If you move during the process, you can expect to add 3-5 months additional waiting time.

Don't waste your time and apply wherever you are man... if your BadLuck is good like me you will have to wait else you will be taking oath in 8 months!

hello Buddy,

I think you know the rules like 3 months stationed in USCIS district b4 applying and all the otther good stuff. Also we are eliminating getting stuck in name check....

Coming to your question, ATLANTA,DALLAS,NEWARK & couple of other DO's do same day OATH. you will save 2 weeks to some months if you are there.

Otherwise Overall processingwise, Cincinnati seems to be fast as do ATLANTA and DALLAS.

The minimum time in those DO's are 3-4 months and not less than that. There are lot of other DO's with 6 month time frame . compare your DO with that other DO's mentioned and take a Good decision.

ALl the very best.
