Well, there is nothing wrong with the first paragraph. We are all entitled to debate over any issue for a positive outcome. MY 2 cents raises a “RED FLAG” ADJUSTING status to LPR does not mean the country you sought Political Asylum against would become a save heaven for you.
For God sake, don’t make a fool out of yourself and stop assuming that the USCIS is filled with dead brains.
Now, DesertRose50 you stated that this issue has been on for a long time. I have not been a member for long so I concur. What is so complex about “no one is really sure whether you can go back to your home country when the condition in our home country has improved……….”.
You have demonstrated great deal of compassion for your “HOME COUNTRY”. You are concerned about going back to your “HOME COUTRY” given if the country condition has improved. Are you going back for GOOD? There must have been miraculous changes in country condition of the individuals who recently received Green Card.
I am appalled by your following comments (you don’t think that INS “USCIS” can just easily take off your PR status just because you return “HOME” for a visit”…. You have built strong ties with this country (U.S), you have jobs, and you have kids born here, paid taxes, paid mortgages and so on).
I will begin from the later part of your comment, so on points to infinity, I wonder what so on consist! … You are paying mortgage because you bought a house. You have to pay mortgage, if you don’t you will be foreclosed. You are paying taxes, excellent. If you are not going to pay taxes, while working legally in the United States of America, I.R.S will eventually get you for tax evasion. You next bath and cozy bed will be behind bar in Federal Penitentiary.
Your kids were born here… Wonderful. It was only possible when you chose to engage in the process of human extension. Their birthplace wouldn’t be the (U.S.A) otherwise. Lets talk about “we have jobs”. Did you expected to be on welfare when you entered U.S.A? Most people in the U.S work, if you are holding a job you are not doing any favor to anyone but yourself.
We have built strong ties, you sounded like a lame politician from back “HOME”. You should have been a designated diplomat of “HOME TIMBUKTU” and established strong ties with the (U.S.A) rather than holding a job, making babies, paying taxes, paying mortgage, and so on.
What do you really think of the U.S.A and its habitants are unclear to me. You have not accepted and embraced (U.S.A) as your legitimate “HOME”. You think of this country as a save heaven or sanctuary, where you can migrate, lay eggs, feed of the resources transfer funds to build mansion back home, not realizing that your very survival in “HOME TIMBUKTU” had been impossible.
Talk about the humanitarian reasons, seriously ill parents or something extraordinary in the family. You will pass through the same ports to enter “HOME TIMBUKTU”, face the same officials, which were on your tail. I am wondering how they would treat you? Perhaps it was lack of Green Card that prompted persecution to begin with. Since you will be a Green Card holder, they will forget past grievance, kiss your hand and you will be “COMPADRE”once again.
DesertrRose, I noticed that you have not received your Green Card yet, however you are way ahead in your plans to visit “BACK HOME”.
I feel like pulling all of my hair out, it is simply outrageous. What do you people think of yourselves? Are you the only smart individuals and rest of the people, agencies and establishments that runs this country are “DUMB”?
Give up your twisted ways of living; make life easier for yourself and your future generation. Be thankful, to the people of (U.S.A) adapt and embrace this land of opportunity as your “REAL HOME”, be a law abiding residence, you'd be better - off.
