Family emergency - travel on H1 for 5 months

my friend had family emergency so, he went to India and he would return after 5 months.

his 140 and 485 are pending

he is on h1b and would go for stamping.

will there be any issues for his GC processing? and/or H1B stamping?

any help is highly appreciated

-------------------as a back up he should have taken AP if AP for him was approved so that if any problem in Visa stamping then he can enter on AP

he is on h1b and would go for stamping.
----------------------if he has H1 approval or H1 extension then he should go for stamping and will need letter of employer
will there be any issues for his GC processing?

----------------- need more details like his PD, I-140 approved or not.
and/
or H1B stamping?
------------------------if the employer has job for him and dont revoke his H1 petition by writing to USCIS then he can get Visa stamp (better to get Stamp now even if he wants to enter later so that if his I-485 gets approved then he can enter US)
