Failure to appear for interview

Hi
I got married to an an american woman from my country and we applied for me to get green card. But after that things started to get bad. She became extremely jealous and too controlling. She insisted for her to control everything, including keeping my cell, closing my bank and getting my work pay through her account, and a lot of things.

Finally she has made up her mind not to show up for the interview. What can I do? Do I still have a chance If I divorce and get married to another woman? or will I be put on deportation once she fails to show up?

You're already thinking about marrying somebody else? Apparently your priority is the green card, not the marriage. Pack your bags and go.

Get out of here. I even suspect that your first marriage is a sham marriage. What a joke! Obviously all you care about is the green card.

You have no chance. Do not pass go, and if you do, don't collect $200.

Cheers.

I know you are probably freaking out about this and are not thinking right. if you are seeking advice those other two posts probably didnt help. if your marriage has no fix, and i mean really no fix, then my best advice is to divorce her and apply on your own. i tried till the last second to save my marriage not just cuz of some papers. but i actually loved and still love my ex. go speak with a consul at any service center they will guide you on what to do and even give you a sheet of immigration lawyers that help pro bono or nearly free of charge. lawyers usually tell you what you wanna hear even if they know your case is doomed, all they want is to get paid most times. i speak for experience. i hope it helps.

Since the OP filed for his GC family base, I don't believe there is another way he can get a GC at this time without having a petitioner.

If I am not mistaken, the only acceptable excuses for a petitioner to not be at a spouse interview is if they are a member of the military and are currently on official orders.

If this had happened later (after getting a greencard) then there is a potential waiver for a "good faith" attempt BUT at this stage, there is nothing. You have not described a situation that would qualify for VAWA [look it up] which is the only potential relief for this sort of situation.
