parent submitted AOS for child in F2B category
first interview happened in March, I-131 and I-765 approved in May
just got a notice for a second interview, it doesn't mention of any document to take for the interview
any idea why USCIS needs a 2nd interview?? All the paperwork submitted before is in order.

They probably want to clarify something or just want a second interview in order to make their final adjudication. Only one way to find out.

thanks, the lawyer is kind of amused with it, the only time they ever seen a 2nd interview was for marriage based AOS, this case is parent sponsoring child.

went to the 2nd interview to find out it was a technical snafu, o_O Even the Immigration officer didn't know about the appointment until this morning, and she apologized,
lost time and money, but atleast got the confirmation that the file is approved and waiting for a visa number.

Greetings from Kenya. I am asking on behalf of my cousin. He is a beneficiary under F2B category but his date has not become current. He is aware that he cannot marry until he immigrates to the U.S. He has a lover and wants to know if he can apply for the DV lottery 2018 as a married person and if he is lucky and wins will it affect the F2B petition that has not become current? If he does not win, will he be penalised in the future under the F2B petition that he applied for the DV 2018 as a married man. Kindly advise.

If your cousin isn't married, he has no basis for submitting the eDV registration as a married man. Claiming to be married when he's clearly not is an attempt at committing immigration fraud. If he wants to apply for the DV lottery he can do so as a single person, if selected he can get married and include his wife then as a beneficiary of his DV selection.
