F2 Query.Urgent please.

Hi,
I am on F1-OPT and ending in next 8th,Aug,07.I got a job,working on OPT.I am married.I want to bring my wife here soon possible.I think safe way is F2.But since I am OPT,I do not find anyone bringing dependant on OPT period. I have got my wife's Dependant I-20.I am planning to take appointment for F2.Does she can come here in USA on F2 status when I am already on OPT and finished MS?
My employer filed my H1 but it reached little late.so cant go for now H4.No guaranty of H1 in this quota.Since my H1 file is kept for Random process.
So now decided to go for F2.IS THAT safe way or Shall I apply for Visitor's VIsa for my wife.
I appreciate your help.
 
If your F1 visa is still valid and you should be in status, then you can bring your wife on F2. At the time of your wife's appointment date, you should be in valid visa status and should be able to show that you are able to support her.

Yes, my OPT is ending in Aug 7th,2007.I have taken date on 28 Dec 2006.So I am in valid F1 status, I mean on OPT status.

Similar Situation

Hi,

I am in a similar situation as you are. I am just finishing my MS in December 2006 and will be on OPT and i am getting married in January 2007. I will be getting a dependent I-20 of my fiancee. I was wondering what information have you gathered regarding getting your wife on F2 while you are on OPT and I would really appriciate if you could share that with me.

I am a CIS student in the US. I have Good S. My wife is going to interview 2th time. Even though we showed all the documents, they denied her. Lets see it tomorow. I will let you know.
