Hello,
My STEM OPT ended on June 28, 2023. My CPT started on July 9,2023. I was not supposed to work in between and I am not aware of it. My employer back then has not mentioned anything and they ran a full payroll for June and July.
My current employer filed for my COS(H1B) in Oct,2023. I received an RFE asking to provide supporting documentation for the same. My former employer is not responding to me at all. My attorney says that the documentation I have is not sufficient.
I am not sure how to fall out of this. Can someone please advise what will happen and what my course of action should be? Is there any one who has gone through a similar situation? Please advise. Thanks!
