F1 to Permanent Resident - Travel Requirements

Hi all,

My wife is a F1 visa holder and I'm applying for her Permanent Residency (GC).
Her F1 visa expires in June 07. If she needs to travel and re-enter the US, what documentation is reqd?
I understand Advance Parole would not apply to F1 visa holders.

If you are USC, you should go ahead with I 130/I485 etc immediately then no need to renew F1. But if she goes out , coming back with F1 may be difficult.

she must get an advance parole, without it her AOS will be forfeited. She simply cannot use F-1 to come back.

I am in a similar situation however my wifes visa is valid til Dec-2008. I am a GC holder but I have not filed for her GC yet and we will wait till her F1 expires.

We plan to travel out of US during summer-07, since I have not filed her I130/AP , do you think there will be any issue when she returns back on her F1?
