Hi - I am getting a little anxious and advice would be appreciated. I am an F1 student in the US and so is my husband, and in 2 weeks we will be changing to J1 (him) and J2 (me). We have won the DV lottery (him, OC4XX), but have not sent back the forms (so as to be able to answer "no" to filing for immigration on the J forms). We are Australian.
First question: will the consulate know we applied for the lottery (esp considering we have not sent the forms back to KCC)?
Second question: if no, wil they ask at the interview?
Third question: if they do, is it going to be a problem?
Fourth question: if we do change, how much of a problem will the waiver be? Australians are not on the skills list and our funding is through the university. The government issues the waivers as a matter of course. What else would need to be done re this?
I am slightly hyperventilating over this, so any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!
