F1 to H4

Hi all:
Could anyone let me know how long on an average it takes to convert from F1 to H4, my wife is in school and we are trying to change her status to H4.

I know that the application for the change of status has already reached the INS and I have the receipt number. So does she still have to go to school or is she still legal without going to school.

Normally 90 -120 Days. It is advisable to remain in F1 as long as possible. Reason, if your wife wants to be H1 in future , she will not get exhausted in her H status (H1+H4 = total 6 yrs)
