F1 to H1-Please Advise

Dear Gurus:

My sister is on F1 visa, her opt is expiring on june 2, 2004. During May 2004 she left to India got married and entered into usa with a new I-20 from a different school for Summer semester.

Unfortunately she just got the information from her school that registration ended on May 24, 2004. She is now unable to register for classes. She also has a H1 Visa which begins in Oct 2004. So my question is during this period (June-Oct 04) what would be the best thing to do, so that she can be in some good status.

Should have applied for OPT extension (if allowed). Right now the best thing to do is to leave US and get a new H1 stamp from a US consulate in september and enter US before Oct 1.
