F1 student getting an H visa > Questions

How do u go about getting a H visa? do u have to be a professional in a field like being a doctor or a lawyer in order to get a H visa?

I'm asking because I'm still a F1 student and someone i know who owes a company offered me a job...

how long would it take and how long would the visa last for?

well i've been offered to be a personal assistant for an independent company however the college degree that im going for now has nothing to do with this..
