F1 student coming back to US from India on near to expire visa

HI,
I applied for renewal of my F1 visa which is expiring in Apr. 2012. the visa officer rejected my renewal on the basis that my husband who is working on EAD (GC in processing) . we got married in May 2010. I am currently in India and planning to travel back to US on Jan 3rd 2012. Since I still have 4 more months on my visa, I was wondering if the US immigration authorities will allow me to enter in the US. I still have one more year to finish my school. My I-20 is valid till May 2013. Please advise.

Your current visa was not cancelled when your visa renewal was denied? Your husband is an AOS applicant, are you one as well?

My current visa is still valid till Apr. 2012. My husband is on AOS status. I am not. I could not really understand your answer correctly. Can you elaborate?

I am surprised your current F-1 visa was not cancelled. Since it is not, you may use it to attempt re-entry. Keep in mind. In the worst case scenario, you may be denied re-entry and put on the first flight back.
