Hello,

I'm on F1 status and my husband is an GC holder. We send I-130 on Feb, 2006. We still don't have any answer from immigration. How long will it take for me to get the I-130 approved, EAD, and GC? I'm asking because someone told me that immigration processing times are faster now, but I don't know if that information is true.
Please someone help me:) I will really, appreciate the info.

Thank you and have a great day!

did you ever get the notice of receipt?

you won't get a notice of approval until your Priority date is about to become current. Right now it takes about 5 years from the "date received" on your notice of receipt for I-130 for your priority date to become current.

Priority date = "date received".

You won't be able to file for AOS and EAD until your PD becomes current, till about 2011. If your husband becomes a US citizen before that, you will be able to file for AOS and EAD as soon as he gets his naturalization certificate. You will file your I-485 package with a copy of a notice of receipt for I-130 and a copy of his naturalization certificate.

Thank you LucyMo.

I guess I just have to wait or change to a different status:rolleyes:

Thank you very much for replying that fast!;)
