F1 marriage to US citizen and travelling abroad

Hi I am an f 1 student, just graduated two weeks back. Me n my bf (us citizen) want to get married and now having a hard time deciding where to do that. I want to return to my country and get married there but, according to my research, it'll take me a lot of time after marriage, on top of the wedding preparations-time, before I can join my husband in the US. I understand that the best way to go about it is getting married in the US and file the petition n AoS, along with i131and wait for a travel authorization to have a ceremony in my country. But in that case I risk getting out of status soon since I've already graduated. Is it against any laws if we get married in the US and then without filing anything I travel back to my country while my husband files all the documents here in addition to a spouse visa? Then we can have our ceremony when I get my visa n return with him to safe time of the wedding preparations. Also roughly how long would it take to get the visa after applying?

No. Once you properly file for adjustment of status, you are allowed to stay in the US legally until your case is decided.

You can marry inside the US and then he can initiate the process when you are outside the US by filing the I-130 petition, but filing the adjustment of status paperwork requires you to be inside the US from the time it is filed until Advance Parole is approved. So if you're outside the US you'll have to pursue the visa through a consulate in your country, which would take about 6-12 months during which you'll be stuck outside the US.
