F1 -> H1 Question

Hi,

I am on F1 status and would be graduating in May 2004 . I would like to know what will happen to the F1 status if I file for H1 visa and it gets approved by Feb/ Mar 2004? Can I continue to finish my course with H1 visa status?

F1 to H1b Do not hurry

After graduation go for OPT 12 months. During this period you choose and work any employer and get your H1 during that time.

Thank you for the reply. But my H1 sponserer wants to file for H1B visa. Do you think I should request them to wait for filing H1?

If you start working for employer you will be on H1 and F1 is invalid
