F1-H1-F2, or F1-F2-H1?

Hi all,

This is my situation. My OPt will expire early May. My employer will sponsor me. Should i apply H1 first and get approved in premium processing, then Change F1 to F2( my husband in F1 now) in order to stay here legally? Will this F2 application harm my H1 status? Or should i change F1 to f2 first, and then change F2 to H1?

The advisor in ISS office said, you do not know which one will be approved first, it is very risky. She also mentioned, since many students apply a new program just to stay in US after their H1 got approved, the goverment started paying attention on this matter, that is why i consider to change F2 first, then apply h1b.
