F1 Expired,Out of status,Leaving US for good.Advise please

My F1 visa Expired in July and I have been out of status for more then a year now.I planning to leave US for Good.

I have few questions about it

1.Is safe to just leave or could there be any complication while I surrender My I-94 before boarding the flight.

2.Would I be banned for 10 years if I just left or would filing for reenstatment help prevent the Ban.I dont intend to return to US in Next 2 years.

Please do advise it very urgent
 
1) yes, it's safe
2) make a copy of your I-94. You will need it to prove that you are not subject to ban, since you had D/S in your I-94. If you had no dealings with USCIS since you fell out of status, your "illegal presense" probably didn't start ticking. Therefore, you may not be subject to the 10 year ban.
