Hello,
My OPT expired May 31st, I can stay in the country legally untill July 30th, because of the 2 months grace period after OPT expired.
I am filing I485/ I131/I765 today that is 7/19/04,based on my husbands citizenship, will I be consider legal from now on, or will I be considered legal after I receive a receipt notice?
Should I join in the school, to maintain status untill I get receipt notice?

And also does anyone know how much time it takes to get advance parole in washington district office.

you will be legal in any case, since you have D/S on your I-94, and for F-1 students with D/S illegal presense does not start accumulating until an immigration officer makes an official determination that a student is out of status. You can read about it on www.travel.state.gov

But once you mail your I-485/I-130 in -- you are here legally! And that's nice. :)
