F-2 to H-1?

Hi, I missed my H1 application for the 2004 quota.

My wife is on her F1 visa. Can I convert my F1 visa (OPT expiring end of March) to F2 visa and send in the application for the H1 visa? How difficult is it to convert to H1 from F2?

It is not difficult to convert from F-2 to H-1.

Thank Rajiv, Can you tell me what is the procedure for converting from F1 to F2 visa?

Also, once I am on my F2, and I have filed my H1 application in, what steps do I need to take to convert to H1?

Does my being on F1 to F2 to H1 harm my H1 application?
