Greetings everyone,
I am currently doing my Optional Practical Training for a tech company in Virginia. My Opt expires the first week of May and meanwhile I want to apply for the H1B visa on April 1 2005 for the fiscal year Oct. 2005 - Oct. 2006. I am worried and concerned about a few issues:
1. Even if I get the H1B visa, I will have a gap in status between May and October. What options do I have to stay in status? I was told in the past that rumors had it that once you applied or got the visa you are considered in status but found out that it has not been made a law. What can I do to stay in status?
2. Do you recommand any good but also not expensive attorneys for H1B visas in the Virginia/ D.C. area?
Thank you in advance for your time!
