F-1 Visa maried with citizenship

Hi !
My name 's Phong. I got a F-1 visa and I'm Studying in US since 2007. I just got married with my girlfriend who is a citizen in January. I did apply for GC and SSN and im still waiting for a calling letter for fingersprint from goverment. I dont know if i can stop going to school for awhile untill i get SSN or not. Plss help me !

Since you have applied for I-485, you may stop attending school if you so desire.

Thank you for your answer. But i got a problem cause my I-20 is almost expired and my school just contacted to me about renewing. They said I can not live here legally without a valid I-20 untill i get employment authorization status and SSN. What should i do ?

Is your school even aware of the fact that you have applied for AOS?

when you apply to AOS you dont need school.

Sounds like they think you are applying for OPT or something. Make sure they know you are married and have applied for AOS already.
