F-1 to H-1 to AP, without stamping

Hi,
I have an F-1 on my passport, got transferred to H-1 stauts while in US and am working since then on H-1. I am in the process of getting my AP through my 485 filing.
However, the visa in my passport is only F-1 and I am staying here on valid I-94 (H-1).
I am planning to go to my home country after getting my AP and will return using AP, without getting an H-1 stamped in my passport.
So, that fact that I don't have a valid visa but an I-485 filed and carrying AP document, employer's letter will be enough to get me entry into US?
Any potential problems? I will appreciate your help based on experiences.
Thanks.

---that is ok if you have valid I-94 (with H1 status)

-------------yes(take the copy of I-485 filing reciept with you)

** your I-140 is not approved at this time(according to your post) and if I-140 gets denied then I-485, AP, EAD ALL get denied.
I will appreciate your help based on experiences.
Thanks.
