Extension for B2 ( question about i-539)

My mom wants to apply for her B2 extension so she can travel with me in the States during summer. She had problem with i 539 part 3 - 2.a. The question is " Is this application based on an extension or change of status already granted to your spouse, child, or parent?" I changed my status from B2 to F1 in the States last year so I wonder if she has to check yes or no for that question. Greatly appreciate your answers!
