Assume your EAD expires. From what I heard, an adjestee cannot be punished for working without authorization, only a conpany can. So if you keep quiet, you are fine, aren't you?

Usually all companies keep their employees’ employment info. So, most likely, a person without authorization cannot work. Working without authorization is illegal. If a person is caught working without authorization, he/she will face penalty, even if they are waiting for adjudication. I am not sure what kind of penalty, but it depends.

No, if you are found to work without authorization you might be jailed/fined/deported and maybe barred.
