I just got naturalized recently, and my parents are here in the US on visitor visa. I would like to sponsor GCs for them while they are here. However, my dad is due to have a doctor appointment in our home country in less than a month - he is a cancer patient who requires checkup every 6 months. Does it qualify him to expedite the AP?

Yes, his I-94 is still valid. He has never been out of status before.

I know it never hurts to try to expedite AP, but do you think he has a chance to get an expedited AP.

If he can provide documentation backing his medical appointment, I believe he has a very good chance of being issued an AP.

Couple people I know got expedite AP. They said within the week. So good luck!
