All,
Do you need a visa if you go to Switzerland? I have GC and RTD.
What countries in Europe (beside Germany) that allow you to go in without a visa if you have GC and RTD?

Swiss embassy

I called the swiss embassy about 4 weeks ago with the same question and was told that w/GC+RTD no visa was necessary but I'm not sure the woman I talked to knew was she was talking about. Germany,Slovenia, hungary,Slovakia And Ireland don't require visas for US RTD holders.

Also, add Croatia to the list. They also do not require a visa for RTD holders.

Ok, it looks like GC + RTD holder does not visa to go to Switzerland.

What if after landing in Switzerland (say, Zurich), someone drives to Milano (Italy). Do you need the Schengen Visa for crossing the border? Or do they just let you in since you are not flying?

Thanks!

There are police controls in between Zurich & Milan.
