EU passport travel question

If an applicant is an EU member, and travels to EU contries, how does the USCIS determine travel looking at the passport? We have a situation where our N-400, we have put travel to EU contries, but the passport is not stamped with entry / exit stamps. Do we need to get proof of travel to these countries in some other forms? I guess this is the same as green card holders travelling to Canada and returning (or Mexico), with no stamps on the passport, correct? When we went to Mexico and returned, all they did was scan our GC's, there was no stamp on our passports. Thoughts?

Your US exit and entry dates are recorded with CBP. If you visited multiple countries on one trip, it's up to you to break them down. USCIS is concerned with how long you have been out the country, not how long you visited each specific country.
