Hi guys! I have a question about ESL ( English as a second language) for asylee. I received "white card" 1 months ago and now I decided to take free ESL classes. I heard that it free for asylee in Community college. I 've come in Kingsborough College and knew separate ESL classes its NOT free for residents, it's free only if you take Degree ( through Financial Aid - FAFSA) .Can anybody explain me - is it true or no? And where can i take free ESL classes, only for improve my language? Because I really don't know what major I wanna get right now( Financial aid require it).

If I am not wrong, you are in Brooklyn, NY. Depending upon your age you could enroll for ESL classes for free. If you are above the age of 21 go to www.nyc.gov.311 and search for adult education. It will give you infornationan where you can enroll.

Thank you , guys! ))) Finally I found information, and so as I understood - the only college that offering free ESL classes - is Queensborough Community College ? Another schools - just language learning centers. Right?
