Eoir 42b visa availability for FY 2019

When did they tell you that they are starting to grant because from what I know DOS didn’t release numbers yet for this year at least as of couple of weeks ago

Hi @YORLY — the information I shared is based on a phone conversation my attorney had with the court administrator a few days before Christmas.
I also checked TracReports.com and used AI to search through the website that was mentioned, and January 2022 appears to be the last date showing a signed grant.
That said, whether this is officially accurate or not, I really can’t say. Like you, I also haven’t seen anyone in this forum reporting an approval after 2022.

The "39 countries" refers to an expanded U.S. travel and immigration ban announced in December 2025 by the Trump administration, affecting nationals from countries deemed to have inadequate security vetting, including additions like Nigeria, Angola, and Venezuela, alongside original nations such as Afghanistan, Iran, and Syria, with some facing full bans (immigrant/nonimmigrant) and others partial restrictions (like visitor/student visas), affecting millions for travel and work, effective January 1, 2026.

Paused Applications: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) paused pending immigration applications (visas, green cards, asylum) for an additional 20 countries, mostly African, with reviews potentially extending back years.
"36 Countries" Context: News reports from mid-2025 indicated the administration was considering adding 36 countries to the ban list if they failed to meet requirements, leading to confusion with the actual implemented list of countries
