Yes, that's true, but this year we had the government shutdown, right? I believe we are moving towards returning to how things were a few years ago, with March being the month for the release of the granted letters. I hope it will be sooner, but that's not what it looks like. May God's will be done.Exactly last year around this time a lot of granted letters was out but now it is a big silence. Hope soon they will start to grant us!!
It seems to be now! What’s the average time it’s taking now? 4 years?
But some people got it in less than 4 years not so long agoWe past 4 years honey and nothing
But some people got it in less than 4 years not so long ago
Right after Covid I saw less than 3 years. Now I’m seeing 4 years. That’s why I’m trying to see the average now. Before 2019, the wait was 6 months. After COVID, it was 4 years and 6 or 7 months. The judge told me in 2022 that I would have to wait 6 months, and I'm still waiting. 4 years and 8 months
I think it depends of the state you are for example NY stop sending out granted letters in Nov- Dic. 2021 but other states are far behind like May 2021 so it depend in what states you live in that is my opinion.Right after Covid I saw less than 3 years. Now I’m seeing 4 years. That’s why I’m trying to see the average now.
When did they tell you that they are starting to grant because from what I know DOS didn’t release numbers yet for this year at least as of couple of weeks agoHey guys,
I recently asked my attorney to file a FOIA in the hopes of getting a copy of my "Draft Order." The court administrator confirmed they can't share the actual paper until the judge officially signs it, but she gave us a great benchmark: the Hyattsville court is currently signing off on verbal approvals from January 2022. My case is from July 2023, so I know I have a bit more waiting to do, but it’s a relief to know where the line is moving.
The wait is hard, but I recently had to help a close friend and his family move back to Brazil after he was picked up by ICE. He had to leave everything behind—his family, his home, and all his work equipment. It was incredibly sad to see. For those of us in the "Cap and Queue," at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Let’s stay patient and keep the faith.
Happy New Year!
