Eoir 42b visa availability for FY 2019

We can only request for infopass and there is no other way we can reach out to anyone at uscis. When we call for infopass the same loop is operating :) … wait for 30 days.
Yeah this never ending wait. I thought the wait was over but seems like it won't until we have it in hand. The thing is we don't even know whom to reach out to. The whole system is rigid. I also reached out to the senator but haven't heard anything...

Thank you so much everyone! Yes good news always gave me hope. It’s very hard to keep track of the cases they are processing and it’s only through grant posting that it’s possible to sort of estimate which cases they are working on.

So thankful to this forum. I really hope they finish all the 2021 soon so they can work on the 2022 cases.
I'm truly happy for you! Yes, it isn't express train fast, but if someone appreciates this process is, someone who fights through of it. Congratulations! I hope you'll get your GC fast!

Thank you so much @Rosiebud. I really hope there’s a more efficient way to get our cases granted and receive our cards faster. This ordeal tested our patience big time. I had to step away from checking my status online for a while.

On the side note, just want to share this info. I know each state has their own rules but maybe someone will benefit from my experience. I’m in NJ and my regular driver’s license is expiring in 2 months. Last month, I checked if I am qualified for online renewal but it wouldn’t let me. I had to do it in person. I checked the appointments (in person) for regular renewal yesterday, not real ID and dmvs’ close to where i live have the earliest in July which is way past my expiration date. I tried the online renewal again and this time it went through. So I guess the system is updated within the agencies once it’s granted. Saved me from driving 2hrs away since those are the only offices that have appointments before my license expires.

Hoping to hear more good news to everyone still waiting, may it be grants or physical cards. Please keep those posts coming!

Ok guys, I just got out my infopass appointment. Good and bad news for the ones whose their I485 was admin closed. You will get your passport stamped and it’s good for one year, you can travel outside the country no problem according to the Uscis. They took copy of the IJ order and said they will reopen the application and they don’t know how long it will take for green card to be produced after the case is reopened. But, as we all know we are legal resident from the moment the IJ granted our cases. So there you go!!

+1 on that, the day judge signs your order you are a permanent resident for all legal purposes.

I would advice not to travel on the stamp alone in the climate we are in but you can use that stamp for all legal purposes. Also do not expect a miracle soon, they will still sit on the application for a long time.

Hi all! I’ve been reading your comments for a while and decided to join this supportive group. My dad, RF, has been in the U.S since 1999. He is now 65 years old. After years fighting his deportation order, immigration court appeals, and civil law suits against a previous federal administration, my dad had his 42B verbally granted on June 2023 in Boston. It’s been a draining (emotionally and financially) battle. His victory was our family’s happiest day. But In light of this current persecution against immigrants, I’m stressed and worried fearing these 42B green cards will not be honored. Should I be worrying about ICE not respecting his pending case? What have your lawyers said about it?
Just looking for some reassurance that my dad won’t face deportation again.
Thank you!
Congratulations to your dad and your family! Stay positive and celebrate your good news. I actually asked my lawyer about it before since I was also worried. He was very positive and assured me that there’s nothing to worry about since we are just waiting for a visa number to be available. As long as we don’t violate any laws.

I still carry a copy of doc with me. Even my friends who are US citizens carry a copy of their passport ID in case they get stopped. It’s better to be prepared. Hope this helps.

Thank you for this info. Quick question, did they tell you the reason why the case was close administratively?

That’s what they told me here in Vegas. Almost like it could take another year to receive the card. He refused to stamp my passport.
