Eoir 42b visa availability for FY 2019

Guys I got bad news from my lawyer.
I hope he’s wrong.
He says nothing will happen till October 1st 2025. Till next fiscal year.
honestly, I don't think their many more coming, because I believe last year also, we didn't have a march wave. but I do believe we might see like very few before October. hopefully yours, fingers crossed

Oh wow, can’t believe the numbers are all used up this early. I figured with just 4k and thousands of cases, there’s not really much that they can approve per year.

@chicago2021 please keep us updated if u get any good news. Hopefully this March we will see approvals. I don’t think lawyer is right about waiting till next fiscal year.
Yeah I hope so. My lawyer told me the opposite last month which is I’ll get it this year but you never know. TBH, we don’t have the means to track it accurately. We only rely on the news from people who posts once they get approved. Let’s keep on hoping and stay positive!

Really hope so too.
I’m tired of waiting to be honest.

With all due respect your lawyer knows nothing. Fire him. EOIR Manual is the least thing he can read which clearly states visa numbers are issued on first come first served basis, then DHS background check happens.
You should first call court board line and ask them who is the judge on your case(in case previous judge retired or transferred) and take clerk's number and name. Drop in a respectful e mail to follow up.

Please don't lose hope. I know you'll get something soon. This lawyer is stupid as he thinks you are following up often and he doesn't have an answer for you. You clearly have a visa number and they are probably doing a background check. I know you'll say in a day or two that yours got approved. Fingers crossed!!!
