Really? Did you get an i94 with a 551 stamp? I checked the case status and it shows the last update to be fingerprinted in 2019

I got a different form but if you get the stamp I-551 you can travel now
Just remember all cases are different!!

Hello Everyone, I'm Elias, from Jersey. I'm not that new but its the first time I post. Did anyone renewed their work permit recently? Im curious to know how long is taking to get it, my wife's took almost two years, she finally got it two weeks ago, for five years. mine expired two months ago not sure if I should renew it if it's taking that long since my verbal approval was on early 2022. Thank you in advance!

Hi I am from NJ as well. In my opinion it’s good to have receipt of EAD application. Since next month new admin taking over to be safe. Rest is all your call and please refer to your legal advisor. They still approving May 2021 and some other months of 21, we really don’t know how long it may take to get granted.

18 months, automatic renew for 540 days from the day of expiration.I even switched the job during my EAD application was pending.
