entering on old h1b visa and new h1b papers

Hi my situation is below.
1. I used 4 1/2 years of h1B and came back to india 6 months ago and my company notified INS that I am no longer working for that company. but visa is valid for one more year
Now another company offered my a job in usa. so, my question is

1. can the new company transfer the h1b eventhough I in india and not working on h1b since 6 months.
2. if yes to the above question after the transfer can I enter with the old visa that is valid for 1 more year? or do I have to go to consulate in madras for that??

Make sure ur I-94 is stamped with the expiry date of the new H1.

I don’t think you will get H1 Transfer with new employer because for transfer you need the recent pay stubs. It will be NEW H1 and it will have no I-94 attached
