Anyone ever heard of that being done on your case...........
I was told a few days back , it is that which is holding my case.

Hmmmmmm 19 views and no answer........
I must be the only one who is having his history checked for the last few years

Those who provided fake degree certificates, and fake experience letters to get H1 and for LC or I-140 have to worry. Those who have provided genuine documents don’t need to worry.

That si something I am not worried about. They can check all they want But what is alarming is they have not been able to verify that in the last 2 1/2 yrs.
The point is that it is another Delay like the back ground check.
If they have not been able to check that in the last 2 odd years what is the gaurantee they will be able to do it in the next 2 or 3 years.

What I heard around here in BOS, is that they`re doing
Employment History Verification in the actual work place. This is `cause a Lawyer filled so many LCs for Dominos pizza as a COOKER and what they have is a lot of Drivers. I don`t know if they will cancel this EADs. Sounds like a DOL/USCIS investigation, not just over Dominos, but in others Co, also.
This fact is probably holding cases in the final stage.

I was updated on my last enquiry by an IO.So yes the USCIS.
I am not sure they are doing it for everybody maybe some random cases.
First the case was held up for Back ground check . now when that was done we are stuck on Emplymnet verufication.
Which is allright, they can do all the checks they want but wait for how long.??????????

My friend waited after GC interview for employment verification - but for current employer, not in home country. Despite she had employment letter (fresh) with her, on the interview she was told, they need to verify her employment and only then they will approve. She was approved in about 2 weeks after this.
In my case, I did not hear about employment verification in home country during GC process, but when I applyed for a new job in 2005, University did such thing for me. They checked one place I worked in my home country and someone gave them information which slightly differed from my CV (work period was different). Then university contacted me, I explained them that it was me presenting correct dates and not the person in my home country, and I presented some proof on this (document from my home country with translation). University was satisfied and I got my job... and later on my GC was approved.

Has you employer who filed GC for you violated H1 law/regulation in past by not paying or keeping on bench/table? or filed many LC then revoked many I-140 or got many I-140 denied?
Did he sell many LC? It seems US employer is being investigated .

Ginnu ,
You are jumping the gun here.
I already told you that it is my employment verification nothing to do with my employer.
But anways it doesnt look to be a common practice so maybe I am an isolated case.

What do you mean by "I was updated on my last enquiry by an IO." But, it is right "it doesn't look to be a common practice."

In India when somebody applies for fresh H1 they check for "Reliving Letter" from past employers[listed in resume] to make sure that somebody dosent claim false experience.

------------- It may be done by US consulate in Chennai because in past many got H1 with fake exp letters and used fake degree certificates. Now US consulate in Chennai has document fraud detection unit. It is not the practice of all the US consulates in India

I dont know about Madras consulate but they do it in Mumbai consulate.

See the problem is not what they are doing but how long they are taking for it.
If there is verification to be done they can do it but it should have a time frame for it or not. They cant take forever.
