Employer Changed Name Due to Acquisition - Impact on TN Status

@nelsona, and all,
I am currently working on TN and my employer (A) is going merge with another (B) and they will be changing the name after the merger, probably a completely different name (C).
- Wondering how it is going to impact my TN status? Do I need to redo the TN paper work?
- during my recent entry (by air) I was asked for recent paystubs, I am suspecting when the name changes (to C) my paystubs will reflect the new name and this may pose a problem for re-entry?
Thank you for your advise.

1. Mergers typically have a clause in which they take on all past responsibilities, including visa sponsorship. You should not have to redo TN at this time, only at renewal.
2. The question is why they would actually ask specifically for paystubs. This is unusual for TN (something else must have triggered them). In any event, rather than paystubs, simply carry a letter from the new entity stating the details of the M&A, and your badge.

Thank you @nelsona
- Hopefully they will have some type of clause in their merger conditions. Have you seen this type of situation in the past?
- Not sure what prompted them to ask for the paystubs. My initial TN approval was at the land border and this is my first re-entry (this time by air) and not sure how familiar the folks at the airport about TN. They took quite long with the paper work.

Appreciate if anyone with personal experience in going through a merger situation while on TZ.

Thank you very much for your time.

Of course I've seen it. And of course there is such a clause.
Unusual to look at paperwork on an already approved TN.
