hello, my girlfriend is a naturalised US citizen, gained by marying a US citizen for 3.5 years before she divorced him. Now my question is can she petition for me or are there are some restrictions bearing in mind that she was a beneficiary????. Anybody in a similar situation. Any input will be highly appreciated. thanks

No restrictions - as soon as she became a USC, she also became eligible to petition I-130 like any other USC.

Well they do actually have to get married first, and before that engaged! The OP only states that the USC is his girlfriend.

Actually there are restrictions. If a naturalised US citizen gained a GC through marriage, then that US citizen can sponsor a "new" spouse after the 5th anniversary of his/her GC, unless the "original" spouse of this naturalised citizen is dead. Read these restrictions at #3.E on the I-130 form.
