Chances

There are only 11 approvals , since April 1 2008, out of the 37 cases that we are tracking. What are the chances that remaining 26 cases will be approved before End Of May.

Any thoughts??

I sent emails to the senators but nothing happened.

I did contact the Congress Man and he always raised queries to USCIS ( 3 times) and they always sent an answer and last time they asked to wait for 3 weeks (today is the end of third week), but nothing has happened so far

Also my lawyer raised an AILA inquiry which came back with the same wait for 30-45 days

We got an Email today morning from USCIS for me and my wife saying card production ordered (@ 5.15am) and Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident (@7.15am). Thanks to everyone in this Forum. This forum was very helpful/useful.

I-140 ND 10th Oct 2006, AD 25th Dec 2006.
I-485/FP/EAD/AP - ND 5th June 2007 @TSC .
Checks cleared on 6th June 2007 .
FP appt date 5th July 2007 .
LUD on I-485 after FP - 6th July 2007.
EAD AD 26 July 2007.
AP AD 5th Aug 2007.
No LUDS till May5th 2008 on 485 after finger print.
I-485 for me and my wife AD 5th May 2008.

Approval

I received an email status update today saying "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident". I had an RFE regarding current employment status - I recently relocated to a different city but still with the same employer and that's what we said in our response to the RFE. I have no idea regarding my name check status - I never ever called INS/BCIS/USCIS throughout this process.

It continues to be good news for those who have polled here. Their PDs remain current till end of June 2008. I also presume further that the processing times for I-485 at all service centers will move forward significantly in the coming months as the Visa Bulletins upto November 2007 progressed to 01APR2004 for EB-2 till the PDs retrogressed from the Visa Bulletin of December 2007.

I am sorry if I have created a confusion here, but my effort is only to instill a hope for all EB-2 applicants who applied their I-485s before November 30, 2007 (excluding those EB-2s whose PD is after 01APR2004). They should all have their Green Cards before September 30, 2008. I think, and of course I hope, that the USCIS is now at least attempting to go through the processing systematically.

Thanks for the info Imm. But I do not think USCIS is still working systematically, as there are more people still waiting in before 2002. But we can be happy with all these, as we can see some forward movement. Unless otherwise they clear the NC to update, we are all stuck

RFE asked for employment verification. I recently transferred to a different office location within the same firm - I guess my change of address filing triggered this RFE. Our response included a letter from the employer explaining reasons for the transfer and stated their intention to continue my employment.
