EB1 Outstanding Research Tracker

ready for passport stamping

Forgot to give an update. I got an LUD change this Monday, and the notification to go for stamping yesterday on the mail (both for my wife and self). So, we are taking the pictures today and going for stamping next week.

Just out of interest, is the date for stamping fixed or can you go any time? I am assuming that my I-485 will come through soon, but I have holiday plans for the end of December.

Hi RPB. The stamping date is open, so yeah, I wouldn't change any vacation plans :)
 
Nov 2002 I485 approved!

2 years!! t-w-o l-o-n-g f-r-u-s-t-r-a-t-i-n-g y-e-a-r-s!!! But it's finally over. I received the emails stating that my wife and I are approved this afternoon. Now all we need are the passport stamps + card.

Below are my data. Hopefully they will benefit some of the 2002 filers still waiting for their approval: good luck to you, hopefully it won't take much longer.

BTW, this approval came only 3 weeks after I made an inquiry about my case: perhaps there's a correlation?

Out of the depths of despair

Just got an email stating my I-140 is approved! The I-485 can't be far behind! Congratulations to all who have seen I-485 approvals come through recently. Now that the elections are over, it looks like things are picking up steam over at VSC.

Going for stamping ... any suggestions ?

Hi All

Tomorrow Wed. is our morning. We are going for stamping at Philly. The notice only asks for 2 ADIT PICS, the passport and the last I-94 forms.

I searched all posts and I found:

* you might take your Advance Parole and EAD's. They will take them and destroy them if you do. Question: do I have to ? Not to be paranod, but I'd like to keep these.

* someone reported here that you need to take a photocopy of your passport (even if this is not stated in the notice). This is easy, I'll do it.

* although the notice says 3/4frontal profile pics, everyone knows that they are only accepting frontal (passport) pictures. We are bringing those. Hope it goes well

Any suggestions/corrections/ideas would be appreciated.

I'll report after I get my sweet stamp

Thanks mendieta, rpb8260, and everybody else. Its been a long journey and one that was made so much more bearable by all the folks in these forums. Don't worry rpb8260 (I can say that with a straight face now), your day WILL come. I've been on tenterhooks for this day since mid-June when one of my colleagues in the exact same category (filed mid-Sep 2002 semi-concurrent) recd. his approvals. I thought mine was just days away and days stretched into weeks and months.

Mendieta, Good Luck with the stamping. I've made the appt. through InfoPass for next Wed (Dec 1). I'd really appreciate if you'd let us all know how things went. Have a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday everyone!!
 
Is the date related to district office?

I am wondering if the approval date is related to district offices (eg. Phylly, PA; Newark NJ; Boston). It seems to me that the individual district offices have different 485 processing time. Maybe we should add our district office name to the list to be more informative? What do you guys think?

My Stamping at Philly

Allright, we went for stamping and it all went fine. They DID ask for EADs and APs. I am not sure what would have happened if we didn't bring them. If they are really mandatory, they should be mentioned in the 485 approval letter. Oh well, here is my report:
