Hi guys,
I am also in the same situation like many of you. The only differences
i. My Green card is thru my spouse and she received her I-485 approval.
ii. I joined a new company just 2 weeks ago using my EAD which expires on Jul 23, 2003. But applied for renewal on May 22nd,2003.
iii. My service center is Nebraska and I moved to florida from NJ recently b'cos of the new job.

At this time, I am little confused about what to do?
1. Can I tell my new company(quite big consulting company) b4 my card expires?
2. Applying for a new H-1B or a H-1B transfer with the new company will prevent this critical situation?

Please help!!!!

1. You and your company both have the joint responsibility of verifying that you have employment authorization.
2. If you are eligible (that is you have a previous status like F of H 4 valid) yes H1 might be an option. You can also apply for a new H1 and get the visa stamped at a US consulate-preferably in home country.

Jaxen,
I joined the new company using my EAD. But previously I was working in H-1B. At this time, Can I still apply for H-1B transfer in which I can work from the day I applied or do I need to apply only a new H-1 for which I need to go to my home country for getting my stamping? Please explain.
