hi guys i am 4 months from my ead expiry
can some one post a do it yourself check list for renewal...thanks in advance ...also any pitfalls to avoid
 
Better get a H-1 to be safe

My company arranged me to go to Mexico to get H-1. My EAD will expire in 3 weeks. I have sent in the renew several weeks ago. HR in my company told me the renew will take about 8 months. That's why they send me to Mexico to get back to H-1.
 
I am in same boat, my ead valid till may 03. I send ead renewal last week. my H1b expires 20th Feb. Is it advisable to apply for H1b extension. does H1b extension cause any issue to 485 processing ?

I have been in contact with few lawyers and I got caught in the situation where my local INS changed process and is no longer doing ( walk-in ) EAD.

Any ways... To answer your question...
H1B extension does not effect your 485 in any sense..... I would suggest apply for EAD... Monitor the progress.... And may be 3 weeks in before expire of EAD.... file for premium processing of H1B.
