Ead Renewal Faq ???

VSC service center has no FAQ for EAD just download the form I-765 and read the instructions on Form.
For EAD renewals send:
1 Top portion that you got with first EAD
2 BCIS check for $120
3 Fill up the form I-765
4 attach the copy of EAD (front and back)
5 send copy of your I-485 receipt, if I-140 approved better to attach the copy of I-140 receipt or approval copy
6 Photographs (2)
7 Write on the cover letter “ Form I-765application for work authorizing document (EAD)” and out side the envelope also write form I-765 for work authorizing document in bold
Mail the envelope to VSC

I have my iEAD and original EAD is still pending since 10/2002. Now iEAD is going to reach 90 days before it expires.

I have a few questions
1. Is this a renew case? or
2. I should apply new one?
3. Can I walk into local office to have another iEAD on the expire date of the 1st iEAD?

I have request an enquiry over the phone and have to wait for 30 days. If after 30 days there is no result, I am going to take action either 1 or 2. No. 3 may be too risk.

Please give some comments. Thanks.
 
1. Another iEAD for the same pending EAD. In a way it is renewal of iEAD
2. You can also apply for a new one.

Now iEAD is going to reach 90 days before it expires.
------ So you got iEAD from local BCIS office and only 90 days remaining for expiry date of that iEAD

----- Yes apply the new one ASAP and don’t forget to attach the copy of iEAD(both sides)

----- I think you should file with service center where I-485 is pending, don’t wait for 30 days to get the reply you will waist the time, I would send the application to BCIS immediately for EAD, with fees and all the required documents

Thank you both for the response. Yes, it has been pending more than a year. I have never changed address. The web information shows something like from 90 to 90 days to process..... It shows 90 to 90 days.

I still have about a week to reach 90 day. By the time 30 days reach, I have 4 working days left to file.

--- Don’t wait for these 30 days you should file now or act what you feel better
 
USCIS or BCIS both are accepted
“Bureau of Citizenship& immigration services” will be better on the check
 
Some Update

I filed EAD renew, I wrote check as title to
US Citizenship and Immigration Services, it was cashed.

About enquiry update
30 days passed, they do not have the answer, and nobody knows the answer and I have no where to know the answer!

The 2nd enquiry was filed, it was the only option. I need to wait another 30 days. I was told the procedure has max 3 enquiries, the 3rd one will be the special one. I will call them again after 30 days. Let's see. :D

talk to your congressman office, provide the EAD receipt and that will be much better than NCSC enquiry status
 
2nd iEAD in San Jose Local Office

All,

Have some update on this issue. I walked into San Jose local office last week. 2nd iEAD has been issued based on my 1st EAD pending case.

Case summary, My original EAD is pending since 10/2002. Yes 2002 it is not a typo. My 1st iEAD will be expired next month. My 2nd EAD was filed in 11/2003 90 days before the 1st iEAD expired date. I have two EADs pending. Now looks like the 2nd EAD filing would not be necessary. I have filed 4 enquries on my 1st one, now I have another 8 months to file more enquries to see when the case will be approved.
 
PO Box address for EAD & Doc reqd

Hi Guys,


I'm applying for renewal of EAD and this time I765 is the only form I'm sending.

Which PO Box shud i use ??
P.O. Box 87765, Lincoln, NE is listed on BCIS site

and it also says that if 765 is sent with other docs like 485 etc then difft. address is given.

I have approved 140 and 485 is pending so which add is good for me. What did you guys use when you renewed yours??


DO I NEED TO SEND approval /acknowledgment notice/receipt of i765 with renewal application?? Fact is I don't have any, my lawyer might have it. But i do have EAD mailer I guess that shud be enuff with other supporting docs, right!!

Pls. share your views. your help is deeply appreciated
