EAD Question

I applied for my EAD in January. My current EAD is expiring soon. What will happen if I work after that.

I work for a company (A) and am a contractor in company (B). Company A sends weekly timesheets to B for me along with other employees who work for B. If A charges B for the time I work and if A does not pay me normally(that is the keyword) is that OK.

No Title

That is one possible accomodation that is "textbook legal" when you are not having a valid EAD or waiting for EAD renewal approval.

Thanks jaxen

Jaxen,

Repeating my scenario again assuming it won\'t bore you to death.

I work for A and is a contractor at B. A sends timesheets to B. Now is there a chance that my SSN or something is involved when B pays A. Or in other words when B pays A do I get identified by SSN or will B send records of their payment to A to some federal dept.

I know this is kind of internal question I am asking but I think it is a generic scenario with body shops.

Depends on the contract between A and B

If the contract is person specific then SSN might be linked. If it is generic then it all depends on A\'s accounting practices.
