EAD Invalid. I-485 Denied.

My lawyer says that technically, once I-485 is denied EAD is invalid. I can not work anymore. Meanwhile I have filed Motion To Reopen the case. What do I do?

For those who like to know why I-485 is denied, please search on this board under username, longGC. (Hit Search button then on RHS enter username to search)

Please help.

--- Lawyer is correct and you should follow the guidance from lawyer, because I-485 was based in I-140 and EAD was granted on the base of pending I-485, that base for EAD has gone
Meanwhile I have filed Motion To Reopen the case. What do I do?

Can anyone answer this question -

1. If I-485 is denied, is EAD invalid?
2. Can I work on EAD?

I have not specifically received a notice of EAD invalidation. Mean while, I have filed Motion to Reopen my case.


Please help.
 
I'm agree with jaxen, but technically you should receive notice about EAD. Perhaps notice will be backdated.
 
1)Yes..If I485 is denied, EAD is invalid, as EAD is issued for Work Permit, with Adjudication Pending..

2)No You cannot continue work with EAD

Look for H1 re-Filing [Check w/ ur lawyer on this..] until the case is taken upon and decision made to be employed..
