EAD(H4 before) & Disability Insurance

Hi

Can a person who was on H4 before and working on EAD for the last 2 years claim a short term disability after pregnancy for 2 months ?
Will it negatively impact the GC processing ?

If pregnancy is disability, then 50% of the population suppose to be disabled and all insurance companies will ran of bussiness in one day.
